Sometimes called my mini-me, my younger sister Martina (often referred to as Mart, Martian or even Martha growing up) and I have always shared a close bond despite the 10-year age difference and while we are sisters, we couldn’t be any more opposite. Despite our differences we still share the same love and pride for our Sicilian heritage whether it be the food, traditions or the island itself. While she will always be my baby sister at heart, at 21 she just graduated from Sacred Heart University this past May and is pursuing her marketing career in Connecticut.
